I’m Emma, mummy of two lovely boys and founder of CubKit and McCarthy Copywriting.
I grew up somewhere between Staffordshire and Shropshire, and have for the last decade been living and working in Yorkshire.
For a number of years I have worked as a freelance writer and now I’m pouring my passions into helping other parents, who like me, may feel a bit bewildered and out of their depth with this parenting business.
When I fell pregnant with Jack I didn’t really know what to expect. What I thought would happen was miles away from reality and even with the arrival of George, my expectations of motherhood and parenting are being challenged every day.
Being the first one of my friends to have had kids, I didn’t have a clue about what bottles to buy, what a ‘travel system’ was, what was worth buying and what I shouldn’t bother with. Then there was weaning, sleep training, breastfeeding, toddler tantrums, potty training.
So from this, CubKit was born. It’s a parenting and lifestyle blog, dishing out advice, kit guides, product reviews and hugs (we all need those). There will also be guidance on how to chase after your creative and professional endeavours.
CubKit will talk about the things that matter the most to you in parenthood.
I always love connecting with new people so feel free to drop me a line!
