Mother’s Day is fast upon us and there is no better time to treat the most important woman in your life.
If you are looking for something big, small or a little unique then I’ve put together a list that will inspire and make your mum feel a bit special.
Casa Limes Jewellery
I love buying jewellery from independent shops so I was really excited when Casa Limes sent me a beautiful necklace to include in this Mother’s Day Gift Guide.
The vintage-style necklace, which you can buy for £28, came beautifully presented in a black gift box wrapped in yellow ribbon with instructions on how to take care of your jewellery.
The bouquet-style necklace will appeal to those who have a love for all things floral. It has a really delicate and glamorous feel with detailed roses and leaves.
Casa Limes was founded by Daryl Busico Lacay who started upon her jewellery making journey after attending a workshop at Selfridges during London Fashion Week several years ago. Now Daryl is making beautiful pieces crafted using a variety of techniques including wire wrapping, silversmithing techniques such as soldering, texturising to apply patina and hand filing and polishing to create different finishes.
Casa Limes is currently taking part in #marchmeetthemaker on Instagram so make sure you head over to view the range and find out more about the brand.
As a happy mother’s day treat, Casa Limes is offering a special discount for CubKit readers. All you need to do is visit their website and enter the code at checkout.
Start and End Date: Today until end of May 2018

Liz Earle Essentials Kit, £49
I received the Liz Earle Essentials Kit as a gift and it has completely changed my skin and the way I care for it.
My skincare routine was stuck in a bit of a rut, a quick wash my face with whatever cleanser I’d picked up on sale then applied the same moisturiser. I had a bit of a shock when I found out that my skin was drying out and aging a lot quicker than I imagined.
The kit was presented in a lovely Liz Earle gift box and came with The Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Hot Cloth, Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic, Liz Earle Repair Moisturiser.
Anjou Aromatherapy Diffuser, £25.99
The Anjou Aromatherapy Diffuser is lovely gift for mums who need some time to relax and chill out. I received this as a gift and have since used it every day to help me switch off at bed time but it’s also perfect for any space you regularly use such as your living room or office.
It’s really simple to use and has a timer of 1 hour, 3 hours or 6 hours of continuous use and then automatically switches off. Just top up the water, add a couple of drops of your essential oil and you’re ready to go. The design is elegant and there are 7 colour changing LED lights which can be set depending on your mood. It doesn’t have much noise, only a gentle hum which I actually find quite soothing.
Furthermore, it is BPA free and can also help prevent dry air and cold/flu germs infecting you.
I can honestly say it has helped me sleep much better since using it and is a much cherished gift.
Afternoon Tea, Betty’s, £32.95 per person
Without a doubt, if you live in Yorkshire or are visiting then you need to visit the home of afternoon tea – Betty’s.
It always feels like an occasion going to Betty’s. You can relax and enjoy a selection of rare teas, delicious sandwiches and cakes from the divine menu and a beautiful, elegant setting. You may even find a piano player serenading you as you dine. I have had afternoon tea in many places and Betty’s remains one of my favourites.
There are tea rooms in Harrogate, in the town and also at Harlow Carr. You can take a trip to Ilkley and go in for a scone and a tea after walking Ilkley Moors. Perhaps dine in at the Betty’s in York after some shopping or seek out the smaller Betty’s on Stonegate. There’s also a Betty’s in Northallerton.
Betty’s is extremely popular so some of the tea rooms allow you to book ahead and avoid the queues.
La Source Miracle Moisturising Hand Scrub 25g, £8
My hands get extremely dry and cracked during the winter, so much so that the usual hand moisturisers struggle to make a difference. The one product that has helped is this hand scrub from Crabtree and Evelyn La Source. Upon first application my hands were so much softer and smoother.
I am always a bit worried about using harsh scrubs on my hands as it can leave the skin feeling a little sore and itchy. This scrub was so gentle and made my skin feel really conditioned and healthy.
Lintelek Customized Activity Tracker, £24.98
For mums who enjoy their fitness, this is a really affordable fitness tracker. It tracks your steps, monitors your heart rate and provides a sleep analysis. It’s waterproof and you can also link it up with an app so that you don’t miss any calls or messages.
Sass and Bell Polka Dot Glasses Case, £5
Remind your mum how awesome she is with this metallic monochrome glasses case from Sass and Belle.
It has lovely polka dot detailing and comes with a cleaning cloth. I am always losing my glasses – I think because I always hated keeping them in a dull glasses case from the optician. I got this as a gift and my glasses finally have a home to love.
This is a lovely gift that doesn’t break the bank.
Vintage Refillable Leather Journal, £8.99
This journal is a wonderful gift for those who like to jot down their thoughts, practice mindfulness, draw and sketch or write lists. I have many notebooks and journals, my bookcases are filled with them. There’s something rather special about having a nice journal that invites you to write in it.
I hope these gifts have given you some ideas and inspiration for mother’s day. If you’re a mum, which gift would you most like on mother’s day? Let me know in the comments!
